Member participation
We are a club run by members for members. We are all responsible for keeping all areas clean, tidy and well-maintained.
Cleaning materials are available to keep toilets, changing rooms and communal areas clean and dry.
A lawnmower and fuel are kept in the garage to keep the grassed area around the Clubhouse maintained.
If you see something that needs attention, please let a member of the committee know. If you have the ability to assist in providing a remedy, please offer!
From time to time, the committee organises work parties to repair, maintain, decorate, etc. All assistance from Club members is appreciated.
Throughout the year, we run a number of events that raise money for the club through the sale of soup and homebakes, and the committee will be looking for donations of these at times.
Sailing:
Races other than pursuit races require a Race Officer. This is a relatively straightforward role to start the race and record the finish times. Details are posted on the noticeboard in the Race Box and training is available throughout the season. All members are expected to take a turn at Race Officer.
Skiff rowing:
A rowing session with the skiff requires a responsible person.
